摘要: The ingestion of garlic has been reported to have many cardiovascular effects, including a reduction in plasma cholesterol concentration and the susceptibility LDL oxidation. A double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomised crossover study was conducted subjects with mild moderate hypercholesterolaemia who were subject strict dietary supervision assessment. After baseline period 28 days, took Kwai powder tablets 300 mg three times daily or matching placebo for 12 weeks, followed by days washout, weeks on alternative preparation. In analysis defined as those range 5.5-8.05 mmol/l. Three withdrawn, one allocated complaining body odour, using having intercurrent health problems, below 5.5 mmol/l, yielding analysable results subjects. Comparing that placebo, there no significant differences cholesterol, HDL triglycerides, lipoprotein(a) concentrations, blood pressure. Mean 4.64 +/- 0.52 mmol/l 4.60 0.59 placebo. There demonstrable effect oxidisability LDL, ratio lathosterol/cholesterol (a measure synthesis), nor receptor expression lymphocytes. This found lipids lipoproteins.
