摘要: We have obtained spectra at the Ca II triplet of individual red giants in seven Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC) star clusters whose ages range from ~4 to 12 Gyr. The been used determine mean abundances for six a typical precision 0.12 dex. When combined with existing data other objects, resulting SMC age-metallicity relation is generally consistent that simple model chemical evolution, scaled present-day abundance and gas mass fraction. Two (Lindsay 113 NGC 339), however, are ~0.5 dex lower than expected relation. It suggested formation these clusters, which ~5 Gyr, may involved infall unenriched gas, perhaps Stream. also yield radial velocities clusters. velocity dispersion 16 ± 4 km s-1, those planetary nebula carbon populations.
