摘要: Background: The benefits of probiotics to the pediatric Helicobacter pylori infection remain uncertain. We tested whether H. pylori-infected children have an altered gut microflora, and probiotics-containing yogurt can restore such change improve their pylori-related immune cascades. Methods: prospectively included 38 with confirmed by a positive 13 C-urea breath test (UBT) age- sexmatched noninfected controls. All them provided serum stool samples before after 4-week ingestion yogurt. were for TNF-a, IL-10, IL-6, immunoglobulin (Ig) A, G, E, pepsinogens I II levels. colony counts Bifidobacterium spp. Escherichia coli. follow-up UBT indirectly assessed loads usage. Results: had lower fecal count (p = .009), ⁄E. coli ratio .04), IgA titer ⁄II < .001) than in In children, reduced IL-6 level .01) .046), but elevated pepsinogen levels .001). Moreover, childhood .03). Conclusions: microflora gut. offer suppress load increment reduction children.
