摘要: Abstract In this chapter we have theoretically investigated the Jahn–Teller effect in excited 4 T 2g states of laser crystal LiCaAlF 6 :Cr 3+ . The Cr (3d 3 ) ion has octahedral site symmetry host and its low-lying energy levels are obtained a static field model. fine structure state due to spin–orbit interaction mixing 2 E g , 1g been calculated. dynamical moderate intermediate vibronic coupling considered calculate Ham reduction total splitting term. linear Hamiltonians used. results compared with experimental data.
