摘要: This report describes the three-axis fluxgate magnetometer instrument on board AMPTE IRM spacecraft. Important features of are its wide dynamic range (0.1-60 000 nT), a high resolution (16-bit analog to digital conversion) and capability operate automatically or via telecommand in two gain states. In addition, wave activity is monitored all three components up 50 Hz. Inflight checkout proved nominal functioning modes.
