摘要: Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) of the brain are abnormal tangles blood vessels, which directly connect high-pressure arterial system to a low-pressure venous system, without an intervening capillary bed. Brain AVMs tend cause symptoms by hemorrhaging or causing seizure disorder. Hemorrhage and rates quite variable including patient age characteristics AVM. There have been significant improvements technological advancements in AVM diagnosis treatment that allow clinicians individualize care. Treatment for includes primary management with medications, surgical removal, catheter-based embolization, radiation therapy. Patients their families should be aware presenting signs neurological emergency secondary bleeding seizures.
