摘要: Abstract THE need for a rapid assay capable of measuring biologically available energy is well recognized by those concerned with the purchase feed ingredients, formulation poultry diets and quality control mixed feeds. Conventional biological techniques metabolizable (M.E.) require more time than normally when data are to be used in above practices. Tables derived M.E. data, while serving as useful guides ingredient purchasers diet formulators, not entirely satisfactory since values samples an may extremely variable. For example, Sibbald Slinger (1962) reported that 25 wheat ranged from 1,340 1,800 Cal. per lb. dry matter.
