摘要: Making and breaking foams: A facile method for foam control is reported using a designed biosurfactant. The new biosurfactant based on four-helix bundle design which interfacially active across broad pH range. At 8.5 stable forms, yet decreasing the to 7.5 causes rapid dissipation. This unique behaviour can be linked subtle molecular specific-ion effects lead switchable changes in state of thin film (see picture).
