Dislocation of temporo-mandibular joint - an uncommon circumstance of occurrence: vaginal delivery.

摘要: Dislocation of temporo-mandibular joint (TMJ) is an infrequent disease but still almost spectacular. This consists a permanent, to some extent complete disruption the joint. These dislocations often occurs in context yawning, and less frequently after burst laughing or relatively mild facial trauma (slap, punch on chin).We report case TMJ occurring uncommon circumstance : vaginal delivery. A young woman aged 24-years with no special past medical history; primipara was admitted Department Maternity University Hospital Hassan II Fez for imminent delivery twin pregnancy. Obstetrical analgesia not possible so parturient cried strong manner during labour. Ten minutes admission, patient delivered vaginally episiotomy. She gave birth twins weighing 2800g 2400g. During labour, effort crying, presented sudden immediate loss function joint, difficulty speaking, mouth permanently opened, chin lowered thrown forward. The examination found emptiness glenoid fossa both sides. diagnosis dislocation has established. Performance radiologic screening study TM technically possible.
