摘要: An image scanner utilizes an area CRT while avoiding the low linear resolution limitations of such a device. The is coupled to noncoherent fiber optic bundle (area array) having proximal end geometry optically match scanned face plate. remote array and scan segment page be scanned. beam directed consecutive fibers in sequence imposed by look-up table containing digital addresses analog converters produce required x-y deflection voltages. Since there need only 5100 for 600 line per inch spot excess positions, easily obtained. For example, spots implies 72 elements line. decay time phosphor chosen short enough that one illuminated at any instant. A single output photodetector used monochrome three color.
