摘要: The Bonin flying fox (Pteropus pselaphon) is endemic to the Ogasawara Islands, a collection of small oceanic islands in Pacific Ocean. It inhabits only five islands: Chichi-jima, Haha-jima, Kita-iwo, Iwo, and Minami-iwo (arranged from north south). Hahajima most widely spaced islands, are separated by distance about 160 km. have different histories modern era with respect human activity. At present, P. pselaphon population sizes exceed 100 on Chichi-jima Minamiiwo, but species rare other three islands. Loss genetic diversity concern because sizes. We obtained samples — investigated structure based mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) control region sequences microsatellite markers. Different mtDNA haplotypes were found each island population. Based sequence data, displayed cryptic genealogy, as did not cluster together. marker however, revealed clear among populations, suggesting absence recent inter-island gene flow. these results, we propose that individual populations evolutionarily significant units, should be conserved collectively single management unit.
