The structure of lead silicate glasses determined by vibrational spectroscopy

摘要: The polarized Raman spectra and infrared powder absorption for PbO ·xSiO2 glasses, with 0.5⩽x⩽2, were measured interpreted in terms of the structure glasses. Comparison glasses numerous stable metastable crystalline phases was also made. It found that are composed a number silicate species. In whichx is less than 1, presence ionic oxygen (oxygen not bonded to silicon) confidently inferred from spectra. A new way deconvoluting reported.
