摘要: Objective.—To assess the prevalence of migraine in elderly patients hospitalized with ischemic stroke compared vascular and nonvascular control groups. Background.—Migraine is a disease presumed mechanism. While common complaint young victims stroke, it unclear whether current or past history constitutes risk factor for developing an elderly. Methods.—We obtained headache from 100 consecutive (aged 60 years older) results due to acute myocardial infarction no disease. Results.—The sex age did not differ among groups. The lifetime (8% 8% controls, 15% infarction) all types headaches (27%, 30%, 15%, respectively), significantly between groups. Conclusions.—Based on reported history, migraineurs are at increased develop stroke.
