摘要: The pleiotropic effects of retinoids are mediated by two families nuclear receptors: RAR (retinoic acid receptors) and RXR (retinoid X receptors). 9-cis-Retinoic is a specific ligand for receptors, whereas either 9-cis- or all-trans-retinoic activates the receptor family. existence RXRs suggests new role isomerization in biology retinoic acid. We report here identification an aldehyde dehydrogenase rat kidney that catalysed oxidation all-trans-retinal to corresponding acids with high efficiency, 9-cis-retinal being 2-fold more active than all-trans-retinal. Based on several criteria, such as amino sequence, pH optimum, inhibition chloral hydrate, this enzyme was found be novel isoenzyme dehydrogenase. 9-cis-Retinol, precursor biosynthesis identified kidney. occurrence endogenous 9-cis-retinol which participates catalysis suggest all-trans-retinoi(d) 9-cis-retinoi(d) occurs at retinol level, analogous all-trans-retinol 11-cis-retinol visual cycle.
