摘要: Objective Light transmittance of dental composites varies between products and shades, but also light curing units differ to each other in their irradiance fiber optic structure tip. The aim this study was investigate whether there is linear relationship the distance tip resin composite at lower surface composite. Materials methods Disks 1 mm thickness (6mm diameter) were fabricated. (intensity) through disk measured 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 from with two Elipar S10 (3M-ESPE) Silverlight (GC). Irradiance ratio (irradiance on sensor without / disk) calculated plotted against Statistical analysis carried out using covariance (ANCOVA, Tukey's, α =0.05). Results varied 18% 24% 21% 26% units. There statistically significant differences ratios different distances (p⟨0.05). Interestingly, highest for unit found 4 tip, whereas had 6 distance. Out tested composites, flowable showed higher than regular packable Conclusions Increase decreased absolute underneath composite, as expected. However, seemed be device dependent optimal 4-6 reach most efficient keeping mind that transmission material reached by having contact material.
