摘要: This paper presents a calibration-free model to estimate the average speed of moving vehicles in link, from upstream intersection until 40–60 m downstream intersection's stop line. The proposed calculates link travel time, which turn has two components: cruise time and signal delay. is based on measured by loop detectors. delay first calculated using Webster formula. A coefficient derived portion segment model, takes input detectors timing parameters, been tested against simulated data. results show that able provide within 5 km/h error at least 95% time. accuracy better than British Iowa models only slightly lower Illinois model. However, being calibration-free, here distinguished advantage practical implementation.
