摘要: Seed size and dormancy level were studied in 20 trees from two populations of Schizolobium parahybato evaluate how these characteristics occurbetween within populations, whether seed germination was affected by its morphometry. These are located the coastal (Paraty) or mountain (Miguel Pereira) regions state Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The morphometrictraits (length, width, thickness weight) measured. Germination with without seedcoatdormancy treatment (mechanical scarification) wasassessedbya randomized emergence test nursey. All morphometric traits differed significantly among individuals between populations. region showed a larger lower than that region. had no effect on seedling development. Climate influence determination behavior is discussed based results.
