摘要: Summary With the aging of society and ever-expanding tools modern medicine, emergency physician is likely to encounter an increasing number patients with externally hanging or internally implanted vascular access devices. Aseptic technique, proper access, appropriate heparinization will provide safe yet rapid minimal patient discomfort risk complication. On other hand, who present department these devices already functioning should cause ED add potential catheter and/or pump complications his her differential diagnosis when evaluating patient. In case implantable containing metal, be aware that electromagnetic radiation prohibited unless a nonmetallic device utilized. Historically, presence such documented prevent erroneous interpretation imaging studies.
