摘要: This study compared the employment growth patterns of innovative and non-innovative firms, focusing on whether or not there are systematic differences between these two categories in persistence jobs they create. To this end, a unique longitudinal dataset 3304 Spanish firms over period 2002–2009 semi-parametric quantile regression approach was used. The empirical results indicate that, ceteris paribus, innovative, smaller younger more likely to experience high episodes than firms. More interestingly, among those that contribute yearly job creation (e.g. high-growth firms), only companies able sustain time (in contrast firms). In addition, declining non-innovators tend deteriorate faster terms economic performance innovators.
