摘要: Background: Mice of the genus Apodemus are one most common mammals in Palaearctic region. Despite their broad range and long history ecological observations, there no whole-genome data available for Apodemus, hindering our ability to further exploit evolutionary genomics context. Results: Here we present results from double-digest restriction site-associated DNA sequencing (ddRAD-seq) on 72 individuals A. flavicollis 10 sylvaticus four populations, sampled across 500 km distance northern Poland. Our clear genetic divergence two species, with average p-distance, based 21377 loci, 1.51% a mutation rate 0.0011 - 0.0019 substitutions per site million years. We provide catalogue 117 highly divergent loci that enable differentiation species Poland large degree 20 unrelated samples several European countries Tunisia. also show evidence admixture between three populations but demonstrate they have negligible population structure, largest pairwise FST
