摘要: How good are cheap depth cameras, namely the Microsoft Kinect, compared to state of art Time-of- Flight cameras? In this paper several cameras different types were put test on a variety tasks in order judge their respective performance and find out weaknesses. We will concentrate common area applications for which both specified, i.e. near field indoor scenes. The characteristics limitations technologies as well concrete hardware implementations discussed evaluated with set experimental setups. Especially, noise level axial angular resolutions compared. Additionally, refined formulas generate values based raw measurements Kinect presented.
