摘要: A study was conducted to evaluate the effect of diets based on hulled or hulless (normal- and low-amylose) barley varieties growth performance carcass characteristics in heavy growing-finishing pigs for production protected designation origin (PDO) Italian products. The performed with 40 gilts barrows (Italian Duroc × Large White). Four were formulated: 1) corn-based diet (control), 2) control 80% a normal-amylose variety named Cometa (Cometa), 3) Astartis (Astartis), 4) low-amylose Alamo (Alamo). formulated according 3 phases (P1, 80 kg BW; P2, 120 P3, 170 BW), same Lys:DE ratio (2.60, 2.20, 1.80, respectively P1, P3) NRC requirements P1 P2 high-performing P3. analyzed their vitro starch digestion potentials (predicted glycemic index, pGI) resistant (RS) contents. In had numerically lowest RS contents greatest pGI values, whereas values. Throughout study, fed grew faster (P 0.05). This showed that both might be suitable pig breeding intended PDO addition, could valuable support maximum without affecting composition.
