Fluorinated Aromatic Polyamides and Poly(amide‐imide)s: Synthesis and Properties

摘要: A CF 3 -containing diamine, 4,4'-bis(4-amino-2-trifluoromethylphenoxy)biphenyl (I), was synthesized from 4,4'-biphenol and 2-chloro-5-nitrobenzotrifluoride. The imide-containing diacids (V a-b VI a-1 ) were prepared by condensation reaction of amino acids, aromatic diamines trimellitic anhydride. Then, a series soluble polyamides (VII a-f poly(amide-imide)s (VIII IX diamine I with various (II the via direct polycondensation triphenyl phosphate pyridine. Aromatic had inherent viscosities 0.60-0.85 dL/g 0.52-1.44 dL/g, respectively. All polymers showed excellent solubility in amide-type solvents such as N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone, N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAc) N-dimethylforamide afford transparent tough films DMAc solvent casting. These polymer tensile strengths 87-135 MPa, elongations to break 8-22%, initial moduli 2.0-3.0 GPa. Glass transition temperature these range 259-317 °C, better thermal stability than polyamides. In comparison isomeric X series, exhibited less coloring lower b* (yellowness index) values corresponding series.
