摘要: Abstract Acute lymphocytic leukaemia is the most common leukemic cancer reported in children. Chemotherapy preferred treatment even though it continues to pose negative side effects of toxicity. Medicinal plants are provide alternative with lower toxicity levels. The three Amaryllidaceae species; Crinum bulbispermum, Boophone disticha, and Amaryllis belladonna Linnaeus have been for their anti-leukemic properties. These claims, however, lack supporting scientific data. study aimed investigate anti-proliferative activity species against human K562 cells, as well phytochemical composition. plants’ roots, bulbs leaves were extracted water, sequentially selected organic solvents. Cell antiproliferation was investigated using SRB assay. Thin Layer Chromatography performed compare chemical profiles different plant parts, samples collected from geographic areas. Most parts tested positive terpenoids flavonoids. Only contained phytosterols alkaloids. Plant C. bulbispermum obtained two areas had similar profiles. Water bulb extract B. disticha showed over 70% cell growth inhibition at concentration 10 µg/ml, while methanol extracts 50% 100 µg/ml 10 µg/ml. Methanol root A. L exhibited 100% 50 µg/ml 80% 25 µg/ml concentration. In general, polar highest activity. results this support use treat leukemia currently practiced traditional medicine. consistency constituents species, despite collection points, could enable standardization medicines.
