摘要: Abstract Bone mineral measurements were made using dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry during a multicenter diet trial. There five centers, two Hologic QDR4500 fan-beam scanners, Lunar Prodigy and one pencil-beam DPX. Measurements at 0, 2.5, 6 mo. The mean weight loss was 7.9 kg, but there wide range. With the instruments, total-body bone density reduced with loss, it appeared to increase. This anomaly is similar that observed previously QDR1000 scanner. It shown changes of fat distribution can lead alterations in measurement without any real change skeleton. all strong correlation between content area, some values latter being quite implausible. an associated worsening long-term precision compared derived from short-term duplicated scans, more marked scanners. concluded artifacts preclude valid assessment change.
