摘要: Ischemic stroke results from a multitude of causes but more than 30% are due to atherosclerosis arteries providing blood the brain. More 67% all atherosclerotic carotid lesions located in extracranial cerebral circulation with 38% percent those being found region bifurcation [9], [38]. Atheromatous plaques occur frequently as flow characteristics altered at arterial branching points causing turbulence and shear stress [74]. Less common locations siphon, origin ophthalmic artery or both (tandem lesions).
