摘要: Abstract Radiative heat transfer in participating particulate media is modeled using a formal volume averaging procedure. The multiphase medium composed of emitting–absorbing–scattering phases, i.e., gas phase and several particle phases. Each contains large, opaque, gray, diffuse, spherical particles having locally the same geometrical, thermophysical, radiative properties. resulting equation (MRTE) solved discrete ordinates method. present computed results are found to be good agreement with those obtained Monte-Carlo theory available experimental results. coupling effect MRTE averaged energy equations three-dimensional cavity which differentially heated or volumetric source studied. A parametric study performed for particle-phase properties, wall emissivity.
