摘要: Randomized controlled trials can be expensive and time-consuming, leading to medical researchers utilizing real-world evidence (RWE) based on already-collected data. We aimed conduct various RWE studies angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEI) angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), commonly used as first-line therapy for blood pressure, develop a multi-center clinical data mart (CDM) of ACEI/ARB purposes. Data from electronic records St. Mary’s Hospital the Seoul National University were collected. obtained urine test results patients within 30 days prior their first prescription ACEI or ARB, well date diagnosis presence chronic cardiovascular diseases using International Classification Diseases-10 classification. One researcher managed quality collation each hospital in order facilitate patient anonymity. When unclear, responsible investigator attempted resolve ambiguities by direct chart review. A total 102,333 who prescribed ARB time included (21,481 ACEI, 80,551 301 both). Our ACEI/ARB-CDM short-term (within 12 months) observe changes urinary laboratory values after initial long-term confirm incidence diseases. established CDM prescription, which studies. As we accumulate experience this process, expect that use research will grow develop.
