The relationship between computer use and academic achievements

摘要: Computer technology has been used in education for years, and the government budgets large amounts of money to foster technology. However, it is still a debated whether computer makes difference students' learning outcomes. The purpose this study find if any relationship exists between use by teachers students academic achievement math reading both traditional populations English language learner (ELL) tenth graders. included activities teachers, terms time, frequency, types, places computers, teachers' activities, training received. This data gathered from grade dataset Education Longitudinal Study 2002 (ELS:2002) National Center Statistics (NOES). Fifteen thousand, three hundred sixty-two were randomly selected represent all U.S. tenth-graders attending schools 2002. findings showed diverse relationships consistent with literature. Based on findings, some suggestions made parents about quality school work teachers.
