摘要: In this paper we propose a simple procedure for the extraction of BTEX (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes) from activated charcoal. For purpose synthetic samples were prepared in laboratory real collected polluted environment using passive sampling. The proposed is based on use an appositely designed Soxhlet apparatus, dimensions which are as small cartridge samplers, order to accommodate latter permit us amount solvent. selection solvent was strong desire substitute carbon disulfide, by far choice, with less hazardous substance enhance operator protection. Among solvents tested best results obtained dichloromethane that, under optimized conditions, led complete recovery (>97%) each analyte (BTEX), both samples. CH2Cl2 lasted about 20 minutes also resulted reduced operating time.
