摘要: A better understanding of the manipulation white-tailed deer movement patterns in response to bait has implications for future management increasing suburban herds. We gathered radio telemetry data 10 female and 1 male over a 1-year period with artificial feeding stations activated spring fall. Data were triangulated computer program Topo!, transferred into home range CALHOME, imported Arc View analysis. Mean annual size was 57.7 ha mean core area 8.4 ha. Spatial changes behavior all witnessed including shifts, addition another closer second active feeder, significant collapse around an feeder. If site overlap is not desired purposes, we recommend distribution every 50-60 reduce multiple feeder usage. also placement wooded areas shift away from residences if homeowner conflicts are prevalent.
