摘要: To better understand the natural history, management, and outcome of pneumothoraces in HIV-infected patients, we reviewed hospital charts chest radiographs adults discharged from University Maryland Medical Center over a 6-year period. Sixty occurred 39 patients. Twenty-three resulted trauma 37 were spontaneous. Thirty-two (86%) spontaneous patients with Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia (PCP). Eight percent traumatic who did not have PCP resolved. Patients had pneumothorax as well more difficult to manage poorer (50% mortality) than those (25% mortality).
