The definition this disease is plagued by lack simple pathophysiological description linking cause to effect and activation host immune responses that hinders progression at same time producing multiorgan dysfunction. A plethora inconsistent clinical features has served obfuscate rather than illuminate. Surviving Sepsis Guidelines (SSG) major advance because it comprehensively interrogates all aspects care for critically ill. For vulnerable populations living in low- middle-income countries, guideline ineffectual region-specific data, differences etiology sepsis burden disease, limited human capacity infrastructure, as well socioeconomic realities.
