摘要: This study assesses the usefulness of intra-arterial injection iodized oil (Lipiodol) as a tool for evaluating therapeutic choice in series 72 consecutive patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). In 52 these scintigraphic biodistribution was done, using 131I-iodized injection. A single tumor detected only 17 cases; 18 had involving 1 lobe; 7 cases CT scan disclosed minute nodule opposite lobe main tumor. Eighteen portal thrombosis; 12 showed emboli. The degree intratumoral retention depended on size tumors and presence arterioportal shunts. Our demonstrates that few (4%) HCC might benefit from curative surgery. methods be estimated by means its variables (CT and/or data).
