摘要: The commonly observed phenomenon of breakdown in a liquid irradiated by focused highpower laser is shown, means short‐duration photography, to consist definite sequence events starting with dielectric and rapidly expanding cavities the focal region, followed shock‐wave propagation, cavity deceleration, localized cavitation, eventual bubble collapse. This complete has heretofore been obscured due either time‐exposure photography or lack adequate time delay prior taking photographs. photographic should settle controversy over origin many bubbles near region high‐power pulsed laser.
