摘要: Arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) mycelia are dependent on contact with plant roots for spore formation. In this study, earthworms and collembolans were regarded as potential dispersal vectors of AM fungal spores hyphae, we determined how they influenced the extension fungi from host roots. Plantago lanceolata seedlings grown in a mesh bag an inoculurn dried soil root pieces set-aside agricultural field. The was placed growth box that filled mixture irradiated sand, into which hyphae could grow while retained by mesh. Three treatments 15 replicates each established addition either Lumbricus rubellus, Folsomia candida or no fauna root-free soil. Five treatment harvested after 6, 10 weeks. measuring PLFA 16:1w5 NLFA signature compounds biomass, production inoculum P seedlings. After weeks, all indicators showed had extended whole box. Plant shoot biomass plants greater presence than other treatments, contents earthworm collembolan treatment. reduced amount 18:2w6,9 relative to suggests saprophytic provided food source collembolans. Spore not affected fauna. We conclude stimulated earthworms, but over 20 cm influenced. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved. (Less)
