摘要: Serum levels of the circulating form vitamin D3, 25-hydroxycholecalciferol [25-(OH)D3], were determined in 59 university students, 26 males and 33 females, aged 18 to yr 24 elderly subjects, 13 11 with a mean age 62 +/- yr. The level 25-(OH)D3 was significantly lower persons (p less than 0.001) young students both sexes, higher females males. 1, 25- 24, 25-dihydroxycholecalciferol measured adult found be within normal range. A group patients exposed natural uv light, 25-(OH)D3, serum phosphorus, alkaline phosphatase before 1 day after last exposure. exposure light resulted 2 1/2-fold increase significant decrease activity phosphatase, but no change phosphorus concentrations observed. It is concluded that low D3 status Saudis mainly due avoidance sunlight other factors discussed below.
