摘要: We studied neonatal septic arthritis in the North of Jordan and investigated pattern causative microorganisms. In 27 neonates, episodes were identified between January 2003 December 2004. The diagnosis was made based on clinical radiological findings plus result culture aspirated pus from affected joint (s). mean age presentation 20.1 ± 5.7 days. Male to female ratio 1.25:1 most neonates (85%) had been admitted discharged previously same intensive care unit. Hip joints involved 70% cases. Elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate positive C-reactive protein found all Microorganism grown blood or synovial fluid samples 59% neonates.
