摘要: An implementation intention is a planning technique that involves specifying situation for initiating an intended action and linking these specific cues to the intention. In two experiments with young adults, we found significant increases in prospective memory intentions. With intention, but not standard instructions, performance was maintained under demanding attentional conditions (Experiment 2). Ongoing task did decline, however, relation no control. Positive effects were observed when imagery component of isolated from verbal component. We suggest (relative instructions) likelihood people will encode robust associative link between target cue action, thereby promoting reflexive triggering on presentation cue.
