摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the distinguishing characteristics of electrical activity recorded with intracellular microelectrodes from retinular and eccentric cells in lateral eye Limulus polyphemus . The cell is primary photoreceptor; not inherently photosensitive is, therefore, second-order neuron visual pathway. Adjacent are connected by a doubly rectifying electrotonic tight junction, whereas individual joined to via singly junction. effect generator potential on spike can be modulated inhibition that one ommatidium exerts neighboring ommatidia. A model organization single form an equivalent circuit presented chapter; this simulate both manner where behave applied currents interactions among ommatidial cells.
