Dealing with incidents of serious disciplinary problems amongst learners: A comparative study between South Africa and selected countries

摘要: Teachers in South African schools battle with problems learner discipline. Research indicates that teachers are at a loss as to handling these situations. The aim of this article is survey incidents serious misconduct representative selection education systems abroad extract any guidelines might be applicable schools. Eight were surveyed: Brazil, England, Turkey, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Australia and New Zealand. international surveyed developed promising models, namely the National Safe Schools Framework (NSSF) Australia, Response Early Intervention Assessment Community Health (REACH) programme Education Plan state Sao Paolo, two models category positive disciplinary approaches Zealand, Respectful Schools: Restorative Practices Zealand Minister Education’s Positive Behaviour for [ ] Learning Action Plan. A study practices underlying principles dealing discipline pedagogical situations (Christian or secular) could provide authorities.
