摘要: A separation scheme for coal-derived liquids has been developed that separates by functionality into discrete compound classes using ion-exchange resins; neutrals are further subdivided fractions differing in polarity, structure, and molecular weight adsorption chromatography. Sufficient material can be separated to allow characterization at both gross structural levels. It gives excellent overall reproducibility (+/- 4%) recovery (>97%). Removal of acidic base species prior the liquefaction solvent distillation is a major advantage method because it leads reduction loss lower boiling components potential thermal alteration sample.
