摘要: Abstract This study describes the flows of culled and dead goats in connection with reasons for culling health disorders associated mortality 43 large intensive dairy goat herds Western France. It also aims to characterize reason-specific or profiles related herd-life economic efficiency. Data regarding age at last kidding mortality, milk yield first two test-days final lactation reason(s) exit (culling mortality) were collected 2-year surveys, carried out from 1992 1996, resulting 4444 recorded exits. Polytomous logistic regression was used assess relationship between age, kidding-to-exit interval, five groups reason (i.e. voluntary reason, infertility, age). In whole population studied, proportions exits, each these group reasons, 36.6, 14.5, 20.2, 6.4 22.3% respectively. On herd level, very different patterns specific described a 7-class cluster analysis. Compared distribution appeared be more frequent higher yielding goats, earliest stages as well lactation/pregnancy. Mortality younger class goats.
