Harm Reduction Strategies and Disinhibitors Among Women Who Use Heroin.

摘要: People who use illicit drugs face significant physical risks in the acquisition, use, and aftermath of their use. This is particularly case among those heroin view recent spikes heroin-associated overdoses, injuries, deaths. Using a restrictive deterrence framework, we identify that women associate with chronic ways they seek to manage risks. We also examine psychological physiological disinhibitors contribute reducing risk reduction strategies. find from narratives nearly all initially engaged specific strategies risk; however, as continued using drug, began abandon even simplest measures. Our findings shed light on limitations harm inform theoretical tradition importance disinhibitors.
