摘要: A random sampling of 200 men who attended a vasectomy camp in December 1962 at Satara India was conducted. 2/3 the were under 40 years age with 37 as mean and 32 their wives. Literate husbands much more likely to obtain than illiterate ones. No man had without least 1 living male child. The median number children sampled 3 males 5 total. Too many poor economic conditions health mother reasons given for vasectomy. 1/3 vasectomized came operation even consulting sterilized person indicating growing confidence this operation. Only 2% wives indicated an unfavorable reaction vasectomizing husbands. Generally seem have made decision on own.
