摘要: Abstract A review of the historical development technique X-ray photo-electron spectroscopy is presented, from discovery photoelectric effect by Hertz in 1887 to early stages present day revitalization K. Siegbahn and his associates, that is, up 1960. It shown has undergone an almost continuous process utilization, with a small number able dedicated workers providing major contributions stimuli at various times throughout this long period.
