摘要: Baicalin is a flavonoid purified from Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi. It possesses variety of pharmacological properties, such as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiapoptotic, and neuro-protective provides protection against cerebral hemorrhage. However, it seldom considered therapeutic in mental disorders. Recent studies showed that baicalin protects functions ischemia has sedative anxiolytic-like effects. Animal experiments dopaminergic neurons the striatum, hippocampus substantia nigra. also effects anti-depressive anti-epileptic offers resistance to Parkinson's disease. Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) pathogenesis closely related dopamine deficiency. effect ADHD not been studied. We hypothesize may protect increase brain levels, thus serving an effective novel treatment for ADHD.
