摘要: Abstract London is a large capital city with population of approximately seven million people. It shares many problems other cities around the world, including deaths due to fire. Many these fire can be linked social such as poor housing, loneliness, illness, etc. Data from Fire Brigade Real Library—a unique database information collected real incidents by dedicated teams investigators operating in Greater Area has been used obtain range statistics about fatal fires and death victims for 5-year period 1996 2000. Most occurred unintentional dwelling fires. The statistical therefore analysed identify main factors involved why people die see what lessons learnt deaths. Common risk identified investigated include smoking, alcohol, old age, disability, living alone, deprivation not having working smoke alarm fitted. Comparisons are also made results found studies measures preventing examined.
