摘要: Genetic factors have been implicated in the etiology of many forms psychopathology, including schizophrenia and affective disorders, alcoholism antisocial anxiety attention deficit disorder certain specific developmental a number neurological disorders that may behavioral components. In this chapter, we will focus on psychiatric illnesses attracted largest effort genetic research thus far, review briefly some evidence linking genes to these disorders. We discuss concepts important understanding how affect behavior, explore what is known about biological/genetic markers for mental illness, consider implications finding relation treatment prevention. borrow examples from medical illustrate increasing knowledge mechanisms sharpens our ability predict environmental influences disease incidence course.
