摘要: Twenty maternal deaths resulting from acute renal failure (anuric uraemia) are reported. Three of these were caused by incompatible blood transfusion. Each, the remaining 17 suffered accidental haemorrhage. The communication covers 150,000 hospital deliveries. In no case did fatal suppression follow eclampsia (350 cases) or non-convulsive toxaemia (5,122 unaccompanied Death occurred once in association with placenta praavia (1,131 and postpartum resulted mismatched transfusions both. There was anuria following haemorrhage, shock trauma any other nature. Thirty-five cases haemorrhage died cause death (excluding one transfusion).
